Half Shell, Satsuma, FL

The Trailer at Half Shell
June 21, 2014 It's 6:28 pm and I'm sitting in the trailer posting while Bosco's at a meeting. We are parked in a small Adult RV park outside of Satsuma, FL, called Half Shell resort. We arrived here yesterday from Bill Frederick Park, S Hiawassee Rd, Orlando, FL; a small, 187 acre park on Turkey Lake. It's was quiet; a tad small, with a 2 + mile bike path, and we picked it because it was about 7 minutes from Universal Studios Theme Parks and the price was right.
This park, Half Shell, is likewise small but the flavor is entirely different. These people are eminently helpful. It is situated on the St. John's river, with resident gators in a pond,
Holly and I Waiting for Sunset at the Dock
boats for rent, peace and quiet. I think I slept till almost 9 this morning, between the previous two days and my poor sore feet, I could have slept all day.
We're going to look for a bike trail tomorrow in Palatka, FL a nearby town. That's if we get rolling early enough. Mid-day it's hot and humid and thus the siesta was born!
