6/27/2014 We arrived here yesterday, and immediately had a problem--blew a fuse in the landing gear. Did not know at the time it was a fuse, so we hand cranked the trailer up off of the truck and down to level. Too hot for this kind of stuff!! Headed out to Walmart as we were in need of staples for the trailer. I found that the problem with the trailer was a fuse, so we got some fuses while we were out. Fixed the trailer just before dark--it had cooled off some--92 down to 84. This morning while I was checking my email, I started thinking about where we were headed for today. Came to find out that we were not booked at the next place until 6/28. We asked if we could stay here another day and they were happy to have us--that was a different feeling!!

This morning we loaded the bikes and went for a ride. Only rode 6.5 miles, but had a great time. After loading the bikes back on the trailer and taking showers--much needed activity--we headed for the LAUNDRAMAT--the bane of traveling! Now we are getting ready to head to Savannah tomorrow.
We got sad news yesterday. Mike Duggan, a good friend of ours, passed away suddenly earlier that morning. Those of you that were at my 65th birthday party last year, Mike was the man doing the grilling (old friends from Kansas City). Quite a shock as Mike was the young one of the four of us--his wife Mary Ann, Kathy, and I. He will be greatly missed--He has started the next adventure!
We miss you
