Reflecting Pool/Washington Monument

July 23, 2014  Finally left Richmond on Tuesday and headed for Vienna, VA, to the home of Susan, an old friend of Kathy's. She just happens to own the house next to her house and it is vacant for the next two weeks--we are now in the drive of that house. Don't have air conditioning, but we aren't here much! Yesterday we headed into DC by metro (subway), what an adventure!! We left here about ten am and got back here about 9 pm--the marathon day in the city!! We saw many sites and encountered people from about every nationality--even some Americans. We got a Hop on Hop off bus pass for two days--yes, I said two days--as we plan on doing it again today! No one said we were smart. We saw more sites than I can list. Here are some of the pictures we took. Enjoy!
