5/6/14 Here we are parked at Cindy and Frank Costello's home. We're in a field next to a garage. The Palace was too long to fit on the pad. We had an uneventful trip from Dallas. I'm not sure Bosco would agree; we missed a turn or two and had to back up and turn around in some impossible places. Luckily for us he's a great backer-upper. Just keeping his skills up to date with a little practise.

We arrived yesterday afternoon to a chorus of dog greetings and visited with Frank and Margaret, Frank's helper' until Cindy got home and it was time for Margaret to leave. The four of us went out to Flatonia and had steaks at a steakhouse called Roberts. Great food and good company!

Today is a day of repair, minor things. Bosco had an argument with a tree branch and wound up with a small tear in the top. After a quick trip to town today he used that Flex-Steel they advertise on TV to fix it. We purchased LED lights to go in the trailer; kind of a big investment but worth it if the hype of their long life and low electrical drain are true. Well, one tried to burn up; it got hot and brown on one side, the others started blinking off after a few minutes on. Before we left, we called Camping World in Dallas and talked to George and he traded us out with a different bulb that should work better. What a nice person to do business with, we'd go back to see him in a heartbeat. Of course he also sold us a better bulb to go in our reading lights.
