New Orleans, LA

Bosco "hopping on"!
May 22, 2014 Spent yesterday in New Orleans. After our ride and dancing on Monday we rested on Tuesday, doing the wash and taking naps but low key all the way. We found a young lady here in camp and she agreed to walk Holly once while we were gone so we could spend the whole day in New Orleans. It wasn't exactly an early start but for us it was pretty good. We drove to the Visitors Center in the French Quarter and found them helpful and friendly. We wound up purchasing a pass on the tour bus and riding it for an hour and a half; getting ourselves acclimated
to the area.

We got off down by the levee and walked about looking for a place to eat. Bosco was hungry for Gumbo, and crawfish etoufee and we finally settled on Bubba Gump's place. The food was excellent! We came back to camp via the bridge highway over Lake Pontchartrain. Just a mite unsettling driving 26 miles across water. Feet were so sore I hobbled into the trailer.
Rode 11.6 miles today; took it easy because we plan on dancing with the Why-Not Squares in Hammond, LA. Trusty google maps and GPS should get us there! Feet don't fail me now! Heading for Mississippi and Shepard State Park tomorrow. Plan to get some rest!
