May 1, 2014 This is the most beautiful place you can imagine. Bird watchers paradise. We blew in here yesterday, literally, set up camp and holed up until the wind laid a bit and then walked around.

Texas is in the middle of a drought and we see signs of it everywhere especially in these jewels of state parks where the water level in the lakes is so low. The view out the back window improved dramatically after Bosco washed it; the rain on the trip from Boise to Ely and the dust afterwards did it in. Now we have this lovely view.
On the way here we stopped in a western wear store to look for a Bosco calling shirt. As you know him, he started talking to the lady helping us and told her about our trailer. After we finished paying for the shirt she walked us out to the RV for a tour. Folks here are truly friendly!
