May 17, 2014 We spent today walking around Vermilionville, "a Cajun/Creole Heritage & Folklife Park" restored from the 1700's and 1800's. What fun looking at old homes; blacksmith shop, carpenter shop, school and church. They had a "do it yourself" ferry. They also had people at various points doing crafts and talking about the period. We ended the tour listening to Cajun music with people who come every Saturday to jam. So much fun.
