Lake Jacomo campground, Fleming Park, Kansas , MO

August 12, 2014 Well lots has happened since we posted last. We got the truck repaired in Louisville; when it ran out of diesel it trashed the lift pump and that had to be replaced. We can not rely on the fuel gauge it seems to read whatever it wants but rarely under a half a tank. So now we fill the tank as soon as we can after we've driven 200 miles. When we left town we made the RV park people happy as they were very booked for the Golf tournament and we threw a spanner in the works. Our drive to KC was broken up by a stop at Lazy Days RV Park. What a beautiful place; quiet, well maintained and affordable, we highly recommend it!
Getting ready to load them up
and head back to camp
Here in KC we are staying at Lake Jacomo Campground. It's a campground we've stayed in before; very handy for access to the people we want to see and quiet, affordable and peaceful for relaxing. Arrived here Saturday August 9th just a day late and rested that night. Sunday after a bike ride at Longview Lake  we went to see my good friends Suzi and Robert Bidwell. There never is enough time to catch up and we talked non-stop for a few hours ( hard to believe I could talk like that, hey) til Bosco and I had to leave. After we left the Bidwell's we drove to Gladstone to share an enjoyable dinner with Bosco's cousins; Debbie, Barbara and Lane, and Cindy and Bill. As you can see we multiplied the talkers and there were lots of stories to tell. Great dinner and good fellowship makes you wonder why you haven't done this sooner.
Yesterday Bosco and I drove over to see the house that Bosco's folks lived in when I met them. The house that we had to pack for Margie so she could sell it. We saw James, their neighbor that helped the folks and checked on them to make sure all was well. We wound up at Dick and Judy Vaughn's home to do laundry and you guessed it to talk; tell lies and share stories. We went out to dinner and we ended up getting back to the campground late.

I'm at Dick and Judy's finishing up the laundry while Bosco and Dick are back at the trailer installing the invertor line to run the freezer while we are driving. Bosco won't rest until he has the trailer just so. This is actually a good thing so if we needed to we could dry camp without damage to the frozen foods. Now we are making plans for our trip to Minnesota and my family. We plan on seeing Jason and Heather and children London and Landry tonight. This is Bosco's brother Ron's son and his family.
