| Churchill Down with the Bosler's |
August 7, 2014 First the good news the truck is fixed and we can continue our journey tomorrow. The rest of the good news is that we spent today at Churchill Downs, home of the Kentucky Derby. Horses, horses and more horses and stories about horses. I thought all day about my mother. My Dad use to tease her saying that Churchill Downs on Derby day was her most cherished travel dream. So Mom, I got to see it, not on Derby day though. I also got to try on all those outlandish hats in the gift store. It was the movies about each Derby race that got me, I watched two of my Mom's favorite horses; Whirlaway, and War Admiral win the race.
