St. Paul East RV Park, Woodbury, MN

Gwen, Teri, Alex and Quinn, Kathy and James
Dinner at Keyes Restaurant
August 19, 2014 Arrived in Minnesota Saturday August 16th and established ourselves in site 28, St Paul East RV park. We came in with just water and electric with an agreement to move on Sunday to another site with full hook-ups. Invited my sister to dinner at our "house" and after dinner my niece and her 3 year old son came to visit. So nice to see everyone! Poor Gavin was asleep in the car and woke up to a room full of strangers and his mom and Nana. Took him just a bit to wake up and enjoy himself.
Sunday, the 17th, we moved sites; now in 26, with full hook-ups and visited with my sis at her home. Her oldest daughter and her 3 boys came over and the group of us went out to dinner and had a rousing good time!
Terri, (Nana), Gavin, Aunt Kathy
Lisa
Monday night, the 18th, Teri and I did a small bit of shopping, stopping for a bite of lunch while Bosco puttered at the trailer. In the evening we went to my niece's home for dinner, Sean, Lisa and 3 year old Gavin had us over for Steak, mashed potatoes and corn on the cob. Bosco and I went to pick up my sister and the 3 of us braved the freeways to Lisa's home. We played with the boy and ate ourselves silly and had a great time. So nice to see such a happy family.
Today, the 19th, we drove north to Spooner, WI and visited with Iler and Lolene Anderson. Such a beautiful drive along the St Croix River. We had the greatest visit ever! Iler talked about the tough winter they had; a cumulative 11 feet of snow! Actually the weather here has been most unlike Minnesota in August with temperatures in the 70's. The Anderson's live on Big Mackinize lake; when we were there last they were in a drought and they couldn't put their boat in from their home well the drought is over and the lake is full. Nice to see it back to health. Iler builds and maintains blue bird homes in a wide swatch of Wisconsin. Now he is in to building bat houses to support the bat population. Other than
Lolene's back bothering her, and a bum knee they look as happy and healthy as ever.
