Rockwood Signature Ulra Lite, Charleston, SC

July 11, 2014 Sitting around the ole campfire we asked ourselves how could we make our lives more complicated and exhausting. The answer was simple really, we could buy a new trailer that is 5 feet shorter than the old. Best do it in a far off city, harder that way, in the heat and humidity of a South Carolina summer. No, really we arrived here July 1st, drove here from Savannah, GA it was an uneventful trip but we worried the whole time, actually pulled  off the road about 3 times to check the tires. Big sigh of relief, when we arrived all in one piece. There are too many miles between us and home to do that too often, and so many wonderful things to see, do and, key word here, ENJOY, without that worry in the background. So without further ado I give you the Rock......Wood that is our new home away from home. Now, I hope you were paying attention when I said it was 5 feet shorter--doesn't really seem like a lot but, nope BIG BUT, it is. We signed all the papers and drove over to do the walk-through and transfer the stuff. Several kind folks helped us and the result is below!! A huge mess. We sent 100 #'s back home via UPS, two big 50 lbs boxes with the extra's, gave Goodwill their due, some folks in this trailer park wanted other things, and the rest we put away.

The left is our new bedroom, with our old mattress in it's place. The right pic is, under all the Stuff , a living room and kitchen. There are some neat features like electric landing gear and electric rear stabilizer jacks, electric awnings with lights, surround sound with a 42 " TV and digital antenna, and two air conditioners. It took us two days of work to have it in shape to travel tomorrow to Columbia, SC. We are exhausted. Trailer is clean but there are a few things still waiting for that perfect place to call home.
